Start application →The second-degree state pension is a symbolic 0.5 BSP (~€143/month) pension for special service to the state. Main recipient groups: mothers who raised 5 or more children; resistance fighters; deportees; victims of political repression. Paid by Sodra in addition to the main pension. This is not a replacement but an additional pension — it can be received together with an old-age pension or a disability pension.
Eligibility
You are entitled to the second-degree pension if:
- You are a mother who raised 5 or more children up to age 8 (or a father, if raising alone)
- OR a participant in the resistance (with a certificate from the Genocide and Resistance Research Centre of Lithuania)
- OR a victim of political repression (deportee, prisoner)
- OR you have received the "Cross of those who saved the perishing" or the "Vytis Cross"
- You have reached pensionable age or have another separate ground
