Tikslinė kompensacija (slauga / priežiūra)
Targeted-care compensation (caregiver allowance)
Sodra targeted compensation for people with a disability who need nursing or daily care — €100–500/month, paid alongside the pension.
Start application →The "care benefit" is officially called the targeted compensation. It is paid by Sodra to people for whom NDNT has determined a need for permanent nursing or permanent care. This is an additional benefit on top of the disability pension or the old-age pension. The compensation is covered by the state, so it is not paid directly to the carer (the family member providing care) — the money is transferred to the disabled person, who uses it to pay for care services.
Eligibility
The targeted compensation is available if:
- NDNT has determined the need for permanent nursing or permanent care
- The person has their declared place of residence in Lithuania
- The valid NDNT decision is submitted together with the application to Sodra
- The person is not housed in a state-funded care institution (if so — the compensation is reduced)
