Universal child allowance
Universal monthly benefit for each child up to 18 — basic amount ~€85–90/month, increased for families with many children and low-income families.
Start application →Child money (officially the "universal child benefit") is a monthly state benefit paid by Sodra for each child registered as resident in the Republic of Lithuania, from birth to age 18 (or up to 21 if the child is in education). The basic amount in 2026 is around €85–90 per month per child, while families with many children or families whose income per member is below 2 VRP receive an increased supplement. You do not need to submit a new application every year — once granted, it is paid automatically until the child turns 18 (or while the child is in education).
