Monthly Sodra unemployment benefit for the last 12 months for dismissed workers with ≥12 months of contributions in the past 30 months.

It is paid by Sodra (the State Social Insurance Fund Board), and the application can be submitted via the <a href="https://gyventojai.sodra.lt">Sodra self-service portal</a> or by registering with the Employment Service. The benefit is paid for up to 9 months, with the amount linked to your previous wage (about 60% in the first 3 months, then declining). Before you start receiving it, you must <strong>register with the Employment Service</strong> — usually on the first working day after dismissal or on the same day.
Eligibility
Unemployment benefit is available if:
- You registered with the Employment Service within 6 months of losing your job
- In the past 30 months you worked and paid Sodra contributions for ≥12 months
- The reason for losing your job was not gross misconduct ("disciplinary" dismissal limits eligibility)
- You actively look for work (with the Employment Service)
- You are not receiving a pension or alternative compensation for the same period
