How is Vaiko pinigai 2026 calculated?

Base rate: €80 per child per month, universal.

An additional +€41 per child supplement applies when the family:

  • Has 3 or more children, OR
  • Has low income (average per family member below 1.5× minimum monthly wage)

Examples:

  • 2 children, regular family: 2 × 80 = €160/month
  • 2 children + low income: 2 × (80 + 41) = €242/month
  • 3 children (automatic supplement): 3 × (80 + 41) = €363/month

Who is entitled to Vaiko pinigai?

Parents (or guardians) qualify if they:

  • Care for a child under 18 (up to 21 if the child is studying)
  • Reside in Lithuania

EU citizens and third-country nationals with a lawful residence permit have the same rights. Vaiko pinigai is universal — no income test for the base amount.
